A first betslip, without the jargon

A betslip is a list of prices you are accepting. The market name matters as much as the team name.

One selection, then more than one

A single is one selection. If it loses, the stake loses. A multiple ties selections together. Every one has to win, or the ticket loses, unless the book has a specific early-payout rule for that market. Gbets’ promotions index mentions an early-payout soccer offer. That kind of rule is extra, and it has its own terms. It is not how every multiple works.

Adding legs raises the price and raises the chance the ticket dies on one match. That is the trade. It is not a way to make a short price “safe”.

Read the market, not just the team

“To win” can mean 90 minutes, or it can include extra time, depending on the label. Totals, handicaps and player markets are different bets that happen to share a fixture. If you cannot explain the market in a sentence, you do not have to place it.

Prices may show as decimals or as fractions. They are the same offer in two notations. A short price pays less and loses less often. It is still a loss when it loses.

Cash out is a new price, not a right

When a book offers to cash out, it is offering to buy the ticket back at a number it chooses. The button can disappear. Gbets publishes cash-out terms; read them if you care about the feature. Do not place a multiple on the assumption that you will be allowed to bail out at half time.

Hollywoodbets and Gbets are the bookmakers on our visit-link list. See each operator’s site for current terms. 18+ only.
